GUYS RUN DON’T WALK!! This place is DELICIOUS! We had the curry seafood noodle soup, the Hainanese chicken, fried wontons, roti and curry, and the Ipoh Ho Fun (chicken and shrimp noodle soup). We also had Thai teas and Malaysian coffee. The portions were plentiful and everything was flavorful! We never knew this place existed. It is tucked in a shopping center. You have got to try this hidden gem!

Very nice small restaurant you would miss driving by. The fish balls were awesome and has a delicious curry sauce. I also tried the Mando chicken which had slivers of mango and green peppers. I only wish it was a little more spicy.

Today we made the drive to Kari House in Sugar Hill for lunch, and it was worth every mile. We ordered three Malaysian classics—Chow Kway Teow, Seafood Laksa, and Hainanese Chicken—and each dish tasted genuinely authentic. One bite was enough to bring back wonderful memories of the many weekends Lela and I spent in Malaysia when we were living in Hong Kong. We never needed an excuse to hop on a plane for a weekend of great food. The Chow Kway Teow had that unmistakable wok hei, with smoky, chewy rice noodles, tender chicken, crispy pork lard, fresh bean sprouts, and chives. It was everything this iconic street food should be. The Seafood Laksa arrived steaming hot, its rich coconut curry broth packed with deep, aromatic flavors. Generous portions of shrimp, fish, fish balls, long beans, and bean sprouts made every spoonful comforting and satisfying. The Hainanese Chicken was beautifully poached—silky, tender, and juicy—with fragrant garlic oil drizzled over the top. Served with three traditional dipping sauces, each offering a different balance of savory, spicy, and gingery flavors, it was simple cooking executed exceptionally well. Kari House isn’t a fancy restaurant. It’s a

Stopped by for a quick lunch and discovered a hidden gem in the Buford/Sugar Hill area. The food tasted very authentic, especially with the flavorful sambal sauce. The fish balls were the first thing that caught my attention—juicy, bouncy, and perfectly chewy, which makes me think they’re homemade rather than the typical frozen variety. I also loved the curry, which had a unique flavor profile that stood out from other curries I’ve had. The Sambal Shrimp with Rice was the highlight of the meal and an absolute must-try. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sambal added just the right amount of heat and flavor. I also enjoyed the seafood Kari Laksa, which was rich, comforting, and loaded with seafood. There are still plenty of dishes on the menu I’d like to try, so I’ll definitely be coming back.

From the moment we walked in, the environment felt so welcoming and comfortable. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and made us feel genuinely appreciated. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality you get. It’s honestly one of those hidden gems you want everyone to know about because places like this deserve support and success. If you’re looking for authentic Malaysian food with great service and a warm atmosphere, this is the place. We will definitely be coming back again and again!
